Venezia (Venice Square)
Note: Palazzo Venezia (Venice Palace, XV century) had been
the Pope's residence until 1564. During the fascist age, the Duce
Benito Mussolini used to show himself at this palace's balcony,
and speak to the people standing in the lower square.
Not to be missed: Visit the Vittoriano, the monument built
to give honor to Vittorio Emanuele II King of Italy, with a beautiful
view of the Fori (the Roman Forum), the Colosseo (Coliseum) and
the Campidoglio Capitol.
